How to make an easy Origami Father Christmas, Santa Claus 1

Published by at 2:43 pm under 4. Origami

Here are the instructions and the video of how to make Father Christmas (Santa Claus).
This is easy one and non-traditional one as it uses three pieces of paper and glue.

I also posted a slightly more difficult version of Origami Father Christmas (Santa Claus) here and Origami Christmas Tree.

Step 1:

Fold up tiny bit on the bottom.  This will become Father Christmas’ white fringes of sleeves and the bottom parts of his costume.

Step 2:

Fold up tiny bit again on the opposite side as well. Keep it almost as same size as you did on the bottom.

Step 3:

Fold on half.

Step 4:

Open it.

Step 5:

Fold up to the middle which you made.

Step 6:

Fold to the other side to the middle as well.

Step 7:

Turn it over.

Step 8:

Fold to the middle.

Step 9:

Fold to the other side to the middle as well.

Step 10:

To make Santa’s sleeves by folding up at the blue lines, like so.

Step 11:

Do the same to the opposite side.

Step 12:

Place it like the picture 1. Then fold it down. Then, now you should see the body of Father Christmas.  Please adjust his length of legs and body as you like.

Step 13:

Make his shoulder less pointing by folding back.

Step 14:

Use hole punch wastes (white circle papers) and glue them as his buttons.

Step 15:

Use 1/4 x 1/4 of the body for his hat and face.  You need two of them.   Make a triangle.

Step 16:

Open it and fold to the middle.

Step 17:

Do the same on the other side.  Then turn it over.  This will become his face.

Step 18:

Now make his hat.  Make a triangle.

Step 19:

Open it and fold to the middle like so.

Step 20:

Do the same to the other side.

Step 21:

Fold up at the blue line and make a red triangle.

Step 22:

Open it and fold at the red line and make a small triangle

Step 23:

Fold up again

Step 24:

Fold up once again

Step 25:

Turn it over.

Step 26:

Fold to the middle.

Step 27:

Do the same on the other side.

Step 28:

Turn his hat over.  Put his face into the hat and glue them together.

Step 29:

Use two piece of circle paper from a hole punch waste to make his hat top (optional) and glue to the body.
